Augencentrum Mülheim is a joint medical practice across several sites, with four practices in Mülheim an der Ruhr: Stadtmitte, Saarn, Styrum and Speldorf. In Stadtmitte we also run our outpatient surgery centre.

For you this means: examination and follow-up care close to home at your practice, operations carried out centrally at a place equipped for them. Your findings stay in-house – every colleague who treats you knows your history.

We treat patients with statutory and private health insurance. Appointments are arranged online via Doctolib or by telephone – and if your symptoms are acute, we will tell you on the phone straight away where to come.

Diagnostics with concrete benefits for you

Retinal OCT

Shows the layers of the macula without contact. Answers: is there fluid in the retina? Is the therapy working? Important in AMD, diabetes and glaucoma.

Biometry

Measures the eye before cataract surgery to fractions of a millimetre – so that the power of your intraocular lens fits as precisely as possible.

Visual field & tonometry

In glaucoma, these show whether the therapy is protecting the optic nerve – objectively comparable over many years.

Outpatient surgery area

Fixed hygiene and safety protocols, a well-practised team – and follow-up care afterwards again at your local practice.
